In 2026, a beer advent calendar costs between €59 and €80, or €2.50 to €3.33 per beer. The main ones on sale in France: the four Une Petite Mousse calendars (€69.95 to €79.95), the one from Paris brewery BAPBAP (€69.90 at Ici Présent, €79.90 on the brewery’s website), the one from Jura brewery La Rouget (€59) and the two from V and B (€59.95 and €79.95). As of 31 October, all are in stock except La Rouget, which is sold out. For each one, this comparison gives the contents, the price per beer and availability, checked on the seller’s website on 8 October 2026 and rechecked on 31 October: no price has changed since.
The 8 beer advent calendars of 2026 compared
Prices checked on 8 October 2026 and rechecked on 31 October on each seller’s page (link on the name). The price per beer is the price divided by the number of beers. The BAPBAP calendar appears twice: it is sold by the brewery and by a reseller.

V and B: both calendars were shown “in stock” on 31 October on the page listing them; on 8 October, however, their product page said “product unavailable”. Check availability with your local shop. BrewDog: its 2026 calendar was announced at £51.99 in the UK (press release picked up by the press in August), but it was not on sale in the brand’s French online shop on 8 October. The first version of this article gave a price of €79.99, which no source confirms: we removed it.
The spread we found: from €2.50 to €3.33 per beer. The same BAPBAP calendar costs €10 less at Ici Présent than on the brewery’s site, with shipping included in both cases: compare retailers, not just calendars. Supermarket calendars go a good deal lower (see below).
Craft or supermarket: what the price difference pays for
In 2021, Lidl and Aldi sold calendars of 24 x 33 cl beers for €29.99, or €1.25 per beer: eight different beers, three of each, according to Rayon Boissons. As of 31 October, Lidl’s website shows no beer calendar, and we found no announcement from Aldi for 2026. At Carrefour, prices only show online once you choose a store: we did not record them.
What the higher price of a craft calendar buys you, in practice:
- named breweries, often small producers you won’t find in a supermarket;
- a wider range of styles: IPAs, stouts, sours, Christmas beers, where the discount calendar described above repeats eight beers three times;
- larger formats: 44 or 50cl cans in some, against 25 or 33cl elsewhere.
For a casual drinker just starting out, a supermarket calendar does the job. For someone who already knows craft beer, it won’t teach them anything.
The five things that matter
- Price per beer, not the total price. Divide by the number of beers (24, or 22 for La Rouget): it is the only way to compare two calendars.
- Format. 24 bottles of 25cl add up to 6 litres, 24 cans of 44cl to more than 10. At the same price, it is not the same gift.
- Named breweries. A serious seller publishes the list, or at least the number of breweries and where they come from. “24 beers from around the world” with no further detail often hides own-label brands.
- Surprises and extras. Some calendars swap beers for surprises (two doors out of 24 at La Rouget) or add a glass. It’s a nice touch, but it means fewer beers or a higher price.
- Weight and delivery. A 24-beer calendar weighs around ten kilos: check whether shipping is included and whether someone will be in to take the parcel.
Which calendar for which person
- They love IPAs: the Une Petite Mousse IPA calendar, 100% that style.
- They’re curious, with no favourite style: a “beers of the world” calendar that travels from one country to the next.
- They already know craft beer well: a craft calendar, with breweries they probably haven’t tried.
- They want to get to know one brewery inside out: BAPBAP (Paris) or La Rouget (Jura), which fill the calendar with their own recipes.
- The budget is tight: a supermarket calendar, as long as you’re happy with more classic styles.
If 24 beers feels like too much, a Christmas beer gift set of six to nine bottles makes a lighter present. To see which seasonal beers are coming out this year, our guide to Christmas beers 2026 goes through them. To keep it going all year, a beer subscription box delivers a selection every month, and for a beer lover who wants to brew their own, there is the home brewing kit.
When to order to have it by 1 December
The calendar has to arrive before 1 December, and limited editions sell out. The dates announced by the sellers:
- Une Petite Mousse: pre-order, shipping from mid-October.
- BAPBAP: in stock on the brewery’s website as of 27 October, shipped within 48-72 hours, with delivery guaranteed before 1st December for any order placed before 24 November; from 20 October at Ici Présent, by Chronopost.
- La Rouget: sold out, permanently out of stock as of 27 October 2026. The brewery says its calendars sell out within a few days every year.
- V and B: check availability in store (see the note under the table).
A simple rule: order in October, or in the first half of November at the latest. After that, the most popular editions may be sold out and delivery gets tight.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a beer advent calendar cost in 2026?
Between €59 and €80 for the calendars checked on 8 October and rechecked on 31 October 2026, or €2.50 to €3.33 per beer. The cheapest per beer is the V and B Bières & Découvertes (€59.95 for 24 beers). Discount-store calendars sold for around €30 in previous years.
Does a beer advent calendar always contain 24 beers?
Almost always, one for each day from 1st to 24 December. Some replace one or two beers with a surprise: the 2026 La Rouget calendar contains 22 beers and 2 surprises.
When do the 2026 beer advent calendars ship?
As of 31 October: the four Une Petite Mousse calendars, BAPBAP (on the brewery’s website and at Ici Présent) and the two V and B calendars are in stock; La Rouget is sold out. A calendar received after 1st December can be caught up by opening several doors at once, but it is better if it arrives in late November.
Should the beers be kept cool?
Cool and out of the light, yes, especially IPAs, whose hop aromas fade with heat and time. A calendar doesn’t need a fridge, but it shouldn’t sit in a heated room either.
The short version
Compare on price per beer, check that the breweries are named, and order in October. Between two calendars at the same price, go for the one that publishes its beer list.
Prices and dates checked on 8 October 2026 on the sellers’ websites (first version: 28 September 2026); they may change. Please drink responsibly.
