🧭 Tasting and serving
Tusker Lager, a Lager brewed to 4.2% ABV, 15 IBU, 7 EBC. The beer comes from Kenya Breweries Limited (Diageo), in Nairobi, Kenya. Its 7 EBC puts it in the pale gold range, and 15 IBU translates to restrained bitterness. On tasting, the glass shows light golden blonde with a fine white head; it smells of neutral malt, lightly cereal and floral; the palate is light, clean, lightly malty and refreshing; it ends short and clean. Table-wise, it works with Nyama choma (grilled meat), Ugali, Pilau (spiced rice) and Tilapia fish. It is best served at 4–6°C in a standard glass and commonly sold in 500ml.
