🧭 Tasting and serving
Leffe Brown, a Dubbel brewed to 6.5% ABV, 20 IBU, 55 EBC. On tasting, it pours dark brown with creamy beige head; the nose offers caramel, raisin, plum, gentle spices; the body comes across sweet and malty, dark fruit and caramel on the palate; it ends medium-long, lightly dry. At 6.5% it is on the strong side, and its 55 EBC puts it in the dark brown range. Classic pairings include Flemish carbonnade, Blue cheeses, Duck à l’orange and Flemish pancakes. It is best served at 8–10°C in an Abbey chalice and commonly sold in 33cl. It is brewed by AB InBev (Leffe Abbey recipe) in Namur, Belgium.
